The Most Used Apps are quite interesting. Mobile phone applications popularly known as apps have become indispensable. You cannot possibly use a mobile phone these days without apps.
Think back to a time, when we all could live without mobile phones themselves. Now almost everyone has a smartphone and cannot do without their apps.
Now, what are some of the most popular applications used in the year 2016. Especially among students? Below is a list we compiled after some research:
Most Used Apps By Nigerian Students In 2016
1. Facebook App
Now, let’s remember that some people still login to Facebook via the web, but these days most students have cottoned up to the app. With the app you can keeping up with friends is faster than ever.
You can:
• See what friends are up to
• Share updates, photos and videos
• Get notified when friends like and comment on your posts
• Play games and use your favorite apps.
Plus it makes things a lot easier, wouldn’t you agree?
2. Twitter App
As at 2015, many people could say: “I don’t like that Twitter thing”. But in  2016, Nigeria has the most Twitter users on the continent and this continues to grow with each passing day.
I personally think that Twitter’s attractiveness lies in the fact that you can easily interact with celebrities and icons, you might not easily interact with on other platforms.
It also helps you get breaking news. Stay informed with the local and global news that matters to you most, as it happens. For some, Twitter has replaced the newspaper.
3. Whatsapp
This is like the most used app in Nigeria, even our parents use it. What more can one say? And now families even have Whatsapp groups, churches too.
WhatsApp Messenger is a FREE messaging app available for Android and other smartphones. WhatsApp uses your phone’s Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to let you message and call friends and family. Switch from SMS to WhatsApp to send and receive messages, calls, photos, videos, documents, and Voice Messages.
4. Blackberry Messenger
Popularly known as BBM, it was formerly exclusive to Blackberry phones which made it kind of prestigious. ever since it became available to even Android phones, everyone has a BBM app.
And now, BBM has a unique feature to protect your privacy and keep you in control: Retract – The ability to take back messages and photos, even after you’ve sent them. Retract before they’ve been ‘R’ (Read) and they’ll never know!
